Community Partners
Honda Means Quality
To automotive buyers around the world, Honda and quality are synonymous. A major reason is the dedication and teamwork of men and women like our associates here in Lincoln, Alabama who build Honda products and who play a role in strengthening their communities.
The Individual, The Team, The Community
A cornerstone of the Honda philosophy is Respect for the Individual, which recognizes the valuable contributions each individual makes to the team. Similarly, we are part of the "community team," with the same obligation as all other members of the community to make Alabama a better place to live and work.
Social Responsibility
Honda Manufacturing of Alabama (HMA) is committed to the concept of being involved in the communities where our associates live and work as an enduring, reliable and dedicated partner. As our HMA team grows, our sense of community grows as well. Solid, positive communities strengthen our nation and our world.
Resource Support
Our support is provided in the following ways through our Community Partners Program, which is administered by HMA’s Corporate Affairs and Communications Department:
Projects that include involvement of our associates as well as requests for financial support are of particular interest.
Program Areas
HMA supports programs and organizations in the areas of Education and Youth, Arts and Culture, Health and Human Services, Environment and Community or Civic projects as they align with Honda’s overall direction.
Geographic Focus
Primary consideration is given to the five-county area where the majority of our associates live – Calhoun, Etowah, Jefferson, St. Clair and Talladega. Secondary are all the other counties from which we hire associates. Finally, any other counties in the State of Alabama may be considered.
HMA Priorities
HMA’s priorities lie in the enhancement of programs, not in supporting annual operating budgets.
